Sadik Kasa was born and developed his artistic creativity in the city of Elbasan. He belongs to the generation of Albanian artists who were formed at the Higher Institute of Arts, in Tirana (Albania). The artist worked for 21 years as a scenographer of the Palace of Culture, Elbasan and since 2005 he has been in charge of the City Art Gallery. The passion for painting, the influence of French impressionism makes Sadik Kasa part of the important painters of “Plain -air” in Albania. The golden autumn, spring and winter of the Albanian landscapes are the motives of over 1500 works of the master Kasa. In the artist’s landscapes you can find images from all over Albania and Albanian territories, starting from the northern mountains to the Ionian coast, the suburbs of Elbasan, Korça, Pogradec, Saranda, Tirana, Lezha, Calabria, Ulcinj, Prizren, etc. Kasa uses rich colours and a strong sunlight, his landscapes are realistic, but with strong impressionist tendencies. Often his works have transparency, beauty and freshness of watercolours.
